The MOQBA Award for Outstanding Student Involvement is an award created by the Missouri Quizbowl Alliance to recognize contributions made by students to improve quizbowl in the state of Missouri. The award is presented on an as-needed basis at the NAQT Missouri Qualifier. [1]
Honorees
- 2016: Matt Chalem and Joe Stitz of Washington High School for their numerous commitments to encourage participation in quizbowl by elementary and middle school students.
- 2015: Jared Lockwood of Hallsville High School for his numerous commitments to coaching, mentoring and writing for younger quizbowl players.
- 2014: Ben Zhang and Jialin Ding of Ladue Horton Watkins High School for hosting the 2013 Ladue Fall Novice Tournament and for producing and editing the nationally lauded Ladue Invitational Spring Tournament IV question set.
- 2013: None awarded
- 2012: Max Schindler of Ladue Horton Watkins High School for establishing, directing and editing the set for the Ladue Invitational Spring Tournament.
- 2011: Sam Haynes of Jefferson City High School for establishing and directing the Bill Currie Memorial Tournament.
