Tal Atkins Memorial
The Tal Atkins Memorial Quiz Bowl Tournament is a high school quiz bowl tournament hosted by Caddo Magnet in Shreveport, Louisiana.
The tournament runs on an NAQT IS A-set. Its 2011 edition added a lightning round, and it additionally was played on the NAQT Battle of the Brains set in 2006 and 2007. Its format consists of four preliminary rounds and a single elimination afternoon tournament.
It is named in honor of Tal Atkins, a member of the Caddo Magnet quiz bowl team who died of cancer at age 19. The tournament was first held in 2001.[1]
