VHSL Region D
Prior to the 2014 VHSL Realignment, VHSL Region D was a VHSL region in class A, consisting of schools with less than 700 students lying in the Southwest Virginia panhandle. It contained the Black Diamond District, Clinch Mountain District, Cumberland District, and Lonesome Pine District. Like all VHSL regions, it sent two teams to the VHSL Scholastic Bowl state championship tournament for the fifteen-year duration of the original Scholastic Bowl tournament structure.
