In the 2011-2012 season, the team of Holub-Moorman (William), Kim (Sung-Hoon), Lin, and Reed won St. Mary's Belles' Bowl and the State History Bowl Championship and placed second at Tar Heel Cup, Quaker Bowl, Enloe Invitational, the Duke Academic Fall Tournament, and the Duke Spring Tournament. The team also qualified for the 2012 HSNCT; after placing 20th in the preliminary rounds (including individuals #31, Reed, and 43, Holub-Moorman), East tied for 13th place overall in the playoffs. East achieved No. 43 of all time on points per game scored at HSNCT, and No. 9 for points scored in a single game at HSNCT. Holub-Moorman and Reed were also named to the North Carolina All-Star Team, which plans to compete in the 2012 NASAT.
