History

The Miami Valley School's middle school quiz team was founded in 2014 by MVS alum Tyler Benedict.

In its first year of existence, the MVS middle school team won the Olentangy Hyatts AQUILA MS tournament and also won the high school JV division at Northmont OAC. Miami Valley A won the inaugural Ohio NAQT MS state championship with an 8-1 record and 24.56 PPB, while Miami Valley B tied for third with a record of 5-3. The first team was led by captain Max Mader, with support from John John Groger, William Groger, and Amay Kejriwal.

Miami Valley attended the 2015 NAQT MSNCT, finishing in a tie for eighth place with a 9-5 record. The team was comprised of Mader, both Grogers, and Kejriwal.

In 2015-16, Miami Valley's middle school program won the Olentangy Liberty Give Thanks For Quizbowl tournament and qualified for the 2016 MSNCT. John John Groger and William Groger lead the team in scoring, with support from Sahir Kabir, Eleanor Peters, Ryan Evans, Ronnie Rajotte, Sam Mader, Vera Menafee, and a host of other players.
