The NAQT Delaware Championship is a high school quizbowl tournament held around January or February. The host rotates, but is often kept in northern Delaware where a majority of the quizbowl teams are located.
This tournament is earlier than most NAQT state tournaments. This was because the Comcast Academic Challenge used to be during the month of February, and is because the Blue Hen is usually held in March. The 2005 state tournament was canceled when Comcast announced, without warning, that it was moving its taping schedule to Saturdays.
