The 2007 Ontario Reach for the Top Championship was a provincial-level tournament that took place from May 13-14, 2007. 40 teams competed in the tournament, which were drawn from the various Schoolreach leagues across Ontario. The top 10 teams from the round-robin tournament on May 13 moved on to the televised finals, which were taped on May 14. The two finalists, London Central and Gloucester, qualified for the national finals in Edmonton, Alberta.

Tournament Format

Teams qualified for the tournament by finishing well (top 2-3 teams, depending on the league) in their region. The 40 teams were divided into 5 flights of 8 teams each. Within each flight, the 8 teams played a complete round robin. At the conclusion of the round robin games, teams were ranked based on their record, then, as a tiebreaker, the number of points for. The top ten teams moved on to the televised portion of the games at the TVO studio on May 14. Teams were paired up (#1 v #10, #2 v #9, etc.), with the winners of these matches, plus the highest-scoring losing team, called the "wild card" team, moving on to the quarterfinal matches. The winners of these three games, as well as one wild card team, based, again, on the highest-scoring losing team, moved on to the semifinal matches. The winners qualified for the national finals, and played in the final game of the tournament.
