Paul Barta is a sophomore at the University of Minnesota who mysteriously appeared midway through the 2010-2011 season after picking up a University of Minnesota Quizbowl postcard and telling Eliza Grames that he does not like pop culture. He played Quizbowl for the first time at SCT a week later.
