Stats

The 2008 High School National Championship was won by Thomas Jefferson, consisting of Phil Graves, Naren Tallapragada, Keshav Pillai, and Mohit Iyyer. The tournament was held at the Wyndham Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois. This tournament set a new record for the third straight year with 176 teams competing at one site.

Tournament results

Thomas Jefferson beat Wilmington Charter in the second game of an advantaged final to win the tournament. These two teams played after Thomas Jefferson eliminated Dorman B and Wilmington Charter eliminated Whitman. Whitman would go on to win the third place game.

In the small school division, coach Matt Knupp won his third national small school title, though the first with Russell (he had led Danville to the small school titles in 2005 and 2006).

The 2008 HSNCT is notably one of the only national tournaments with more than one team from a school finishing in the top 5. Dorman's A and B teams finished 5th and 4th respectively.
