John Lawrence is the President of Yale Student Academic Competitions, and is known for his deep music knowledge. He wrote and edited the music for 2009's THUNDER tournament, and all arts for 2010 ACF Fall. He has been lit and visual arts editor at several incarnations of BHSAT, Yale's house-written high school tournament. He was captain of the winning team at 2011 ACF Nationals.
