Second Tournament
The second Egghead Invitational held on November 7, 2015, was won by the host team Fairview A captained by Ursula Humayun. Even though Midtown Classical A's PPG was nearly 100 higher than Fairview's PPG over the course of the tournament, Fairview won the final 315 - 135.

The United States Academic Bee and Bowl is an all-subject academic competition founded by David Madden in January 2016. It is only open to elementary and middle school students. It also includes two side events, the National Science Bee and National Humanities Bee. Questions for the competition are pyramidal.
Format
In the United States Academic Bowl, matches are divided into two halves, separated by a category round. Each half is seven tossups with 3 part bonuses. Each bonus part is worth 10 points. The bonuses have the same subject as the tossup. The bonuses are bounceback. The questions are powermarked. In the US Academic Bowl, powers are worth 20 points. There are no negs in US Academic Bowl. For the category round, the trailing team chooses one of four categories first. Category rounds include six one-line questions, which bounce back if missed by the answering team. A team gets 20 more points for a sweep. After the trailing team has answered and the bounceback has been completed, the remaining team chooses from one of the three remaining categories.

The United States Academic Bee follows a format similar to the National History Bee.
Regional Tournaments
USABB holds regional tournaments. The top half of the field after the preliminary rounds qualifies for nationals. During the 2015-2016 season, USABB held regional events in Northern California, Maryland, Northern Illinois, West Virginia, Alabama, North Georgia and Connecticut.
National Championships
The inaugural national championships were held at Arlington, Virginia's Crystal Gateway Marriot between 20 May and 22 May 2016. 46 teams attended, with Middlesex Middle defeating Longfellow in the middle school final. In the elementary school final, Pi-oneers C defeated Challenger-Ardenwood B to win the championship for the elementary division. Longfellow's William Wang won the middle school division of the US Academic Bee and Shiva Oswal of Pi-oneers won the elementary division.

To qualify, teams had to finish in the top half after the preliminary rounds, have at least a 50% winning percentage, or win a playoff game at the regional tournaments. Teams could also qualify by finishing in the top half or with a 50% winning record at another pyramidal quiz bowl tournament (such as an NAQT event). The tournament was divided into elementary and middle school divisions.

National History Bee and Bowl is an history focused academic competition directed by David Madden. It consists of the National History Bowl, a four-player team event played on pyramidal questions in a four-quarter format, and the National History Bee, an individual elimination-style event. Teams qualify for Nationals by placing above a certain threshold at state Bowls; all sites also have a Varsity and JV division. In addition to the History Bee and Bowl, NHBB also organizes a number of other events, including the US History Bee and US Geography Olympiad.

For the 2010-11 school year, the local events were written by NHB staff and Nationals were written by HSAPQ; until 2014, HSAPQ wrote for all History Bowl events, before that task fell to teams led by Matt Weiner in 2015 (but see here) and Brad Fischer in 2016 and beyond.

National History Bee and Bowl also incorporates middle and elementary school divisions. In February 2016, the running of the elementary and middle school division was transferred to ACE.
Ethan Leeman (8th, 14) is a notable player for Midtown Classical, a homeschool collective in Tallahassee, FL which is coached by Kevin Cox. He is renowned for his prowess in the field of geography, famously eliciting the praise, "This kid can geo!" from Eric Xu at the 2017 MSNCT.

Notable Achievements
Ethan has been a participant in the semi-finals of the Elementary (2 appearances) and 7th-Grade (1 appearance) History Bees for three straight years.
Robert Munizhttps://www.qbwiki.com/w/index.php?title=Hoppes-Mikanowski_limit&diff=36204Hoppes-Mikanowski limit2018-03-19T09:59:46Z
Robert Muniz:

The Hoppes-Mikanowski limit is broken when two players on the same team each score above 70 ppg in any format. It was first broken at the 2000 NAQT IFT at Yale, by its namesakes Jeff Hoppes and Jacob Mikanowski. (Stats from this performance are sadly lost to the sands of time.) Their accomplishment remained unmatched until the 2011 NAQT Illinois State Tournament, where Kevin Malis and Zach Blumenfeld of Stevenson. became the second pair of players to do so.

Further investigation reveals that the stat in question may have been a pre-modern stat called PATH rather than PPG, and the original "limit" may not have been set at all; regardless, its power to inspire has remained.
