Took place from June 21 to 26 with 41 teams participating, as the National Tournament of Academic Excellence. Top three scores in the finals were Kentucky 235, Georgia 202, Maryland 192.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
$1000 scholarships and gold rings were given to members of the second-place team. $500 scholarships and gold rings were awarded to members of the third-place team.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
$1000 scholarships were awarded to All-America Team members.&lt;br /&gt;
