Other Notable Players involved
* Carlo Angiuli - Illinois
* Papa Chakravarthy - Kentucky
* Charles Dees - Missouri
* Greg Gauthier - Illinois
* Ted Gioia - District of Columbia
* Greg Peterson - Illinois

Notes
* This was the first time in 20 years that both Maryland and Virginia were not in the finals (Virginia by virtue of not attending).
* This was only the fourth finals not to feature Maryland.
* Illinois was the first Midwestern team to win the tournament, and only the fourth team not from the East Coast.
* The theme of the tournament was the 20th anniversary of the PAC. Thus, many of the team boni used recycled themes from previous tournaments, though no player/coach claimed that any of the actual questions were recycled.
* One of the highlights of the closing awards banquet was the humorous team statement filed by Missouri, and publicly read while their picture was displayed:
::Missouri ... Despite numerous signs along Interstate-70 between St. Louis and Kansas City touting Missouri as the Cave State, we are not the Cave State. What we are is much more evident: we are the gateway to the downhill skiing excitement and cutting edge liberal scientific research of Kansas.
