In [[VHSL]], Yorktown was part of the [[VHSL Northern Region]] until the [[2014 VHSL Realignment]]. Between then and the [[2018 VHSL Realignment]], the school was part of [[VHSL Region 6A North]]. Starting with the 2017-18 season, Yorktown will be part of [[VHSL Class 6]] Region D. <br />

Yorktown was runner-up at the 2014 Conference 6 tournament. Yorktown definitely attended QU's [[National Academic Championship]] in 2012 and 2015. It is unknown whether the "Yorktown" mentioned at other NACs is this Yorktown or the school in New York or Indiana.<br />
