The 2004-05 team from Cobequid Educational Centre won the Reach for the Top national championship. While it was the second championship for the team from Truro, Nova Scotia, it was considered an upset over the heavily-favoured Leaside team, who won Ontario and finished 2nd in nationals the previous year with returning players. Leaside was upset by Cobequid early in the televised rounds, and Cobequid defeated St. George's 480-420 in the final.

The team also won "Reach for Dalhousie", earning free first-year tuition to the university.

The team consisted of Ryan Andrews, Charles Eyrich, Joey Fielding, Kelsey MacKenzie, and James and Ross Mallov.
