The 2006 Ocean Lakes Scholastic Bowl team consisted of senior and captain Ray L., junior Kunle D., junior Chris L., and sophomore Peter M. Alternates were Kathryn T. and Jerry K. The team was coached by Regina Barrett.

Battle of the Brains

The Ocean Lakes team won the Battle of the Brains Southeastern District TV show, receiving a $4,000 scholarship courtesy of the Virginia lottery. Kunle D. was declared a Virginia All-Star and received a $100 cash prize for winning the All-Star challenge.

VHSL Scholastic Bowl

The Ocean Lakes team came in second to Thomas Jefferson at the 2006 VHSL State Championship.
