The 2009 team from the University of Minnesota won the Undergraduate titles at both NAQT ICT and ACF Nationals. They were the fourth team to unify the two Undergraduate championships after 2000 and 2002 Princeton and 2003 Harvard, and, along with the 2010 edition of the same Minnesota lineup, the only teams to do so after the ACF Nationals undergraduate title began to be officially awarded at the tournament.

The lineup at both tournaments consisted of Brendan Byrne, Gautam Kandlikar, Rob Carson, and Andrew Hart. The team finished in 3rd place overall at ICT and 4th place overall at ACF.
