The 2010-11 squad from Lisgar Collegiate Institute played to success in both Reach for the Top and NAQT.

Reach for the Top

Lisgar hosted a housewritten Reach for the Top style tournament in February. Kennebecasis defeated Lisgar A in the final.

In Ottawa Schoolreach League play, Lisgar went undefeated through city play, defeating Bell to win the Richard Magneau Trophy.

At provincials, Lisgar came 3rd with a 6-1 record, won two playoff games, but lost to UTS in the semifinals by 10 points. Because of controversy with many questions, and a dropped Saskatchewan team, Lisgar was invited to play at the 2011 Reach for the Top Nationals

At nationals, Lisgar came 3rd with a 11-1 record in the round robin, won their quarterfinals game, but lost to Centennial CVI in the semifinals.

Quizbowl

Lisgar A swept the NAQT tournament hosted by Ottawa, with Lisgar B team taking a close second in a finals game that went down to the final buzer. Like earlier years, the win earned the team HSNCT qualifications, and for the second time, two teams.

Lisgar mirrored the 2010 Fall Novice in October.

Due to the absence of the Ottawa Hybrid Tournament, Lisgar housewrote BLASTOISE as that year's hybrid set. Ottawa A defeated Jordan Palmer's team in the finals.

A depleted Lisgar A due to illness and missed schoolwork due to three straight weekends of tournaments did not affect them much as they won the 2011 NAQT Ontario Provincials. Lisgar B finished 4th.

Lisgar set two teams to 2011 PACE NSC and one team to 2011 HSNCT. The latter conflicted with Reach Nationals and so only one team was sent.
