Alex served as Secretary-Treasurer of the William & Mary Quizbowl Team from 2019 to 2021 and President for the 2021-22 season. He helped guide the team through COVID and brought the club back to normal in-person meetings. He additionally led the A team to a win at DII SCT and 12th place at the 2022 DII ICT.

Alex Howe is an alumnus of the Thomas Jefferson (VA) and William and Mary Quizbowl team. In the 2017-2018 season, Howe was a member of both the TJ PACE NSC and TJ Varsity History Bowl A teams, both of which also won first place at their respective national tournaments, as well as the TJ HSNCT A team.
