Cardinal Classic XI was a tournament held at Stanford on February 2-3, 2001. It was a timed tournament, with 9-minute halves, which was billed as "ACF-NAQT hybrid." The tournament was packet submission, but packets were also traded with Wisconsin and Boston University. The organizer (and presumable editor) of the event was Prasun Ray. 12 teams competed at the tournament. Teams played an initial full round robin, after which they split into brackets of 4 to play a 3-game round robin.

Results

Chicago won the tournament with a 13-1 record. Berkeley A was second at 12-2, followed by the master's team Amalgam at 11-3. Leading scorers were Andrew Yaphe from Chicago (109 PPG), Tim from Stanford (55 PPG), Jon Pennington from Berkeley A (43 PPG), and Wesley from Irvine (40 PPG).
