The Centennial Invitational is a tournament hosted by Centennial, held since 2005. The tournament used It's Academic-style speed check questions until 2010. In 2011, Chris Ray helped the school write and edit its own good quizbowl set, and in 2012 the school drew 66 teams in two divisions to compete on an NAQT A-set. It is thought that the consistently large field sizes of Centennial's tournament stem from its yearly physical mailing of schools across the region.
