Charles Allen "Chip" Beall (born 17 March 1954) is the President of Questions Unlimited. Chip apparently has a background in television and was the host of the Texaco Star National Academic Championship television program, which aired on the Discovery Channel from 1989-1993. His name is often synonymous with QU's flagship tournament, the National Academic Championship, as well as other tournaments run using similar formats and bad quizbowl practices, colloquially referred to as "Chip Bowl." Chip grew up in Arkansas and played on his high school team.

He has served as host and writer of many quiz programs, including Whiz Quiz (1977-85), a production of WFAA-TV (ABC) in Dallas; Know Your Bible, on radio in Dallas from 1981-85; Bill Clinton's Arkansas Quiz Bowl, aka Governor's Academic Competition (1984-85); the Texaco Star Academic Challenge TV quiz programs in Port Arthur, Houston, and Midland, TX, Tulsa, OK, and White Plains, NY (1986-95); the Texas Academic Championship (1993).
