Hari Parameswaran is a player at Georgia Tech. He was the leading scorer on the Beavercreek team which won the 2019 HSNCT. Hari is a very strong history player: he was the lead scorer on the teams that won the 2016 and 2019 History Bowls, and also won the 2019 History Bee.

Career

High school

In 2017, Hari played alongside Ziyi Zuo, Hannah Cohen, Shwetha Bindhu, and Robert Reid on the Beavercreek team which placed 41st at the 2017 HSNCT and 18th at NSC.

Along with Ziyi, Hannah, and Abby Cohen, Hari was on the Beavercreek team that placed 5th at the 2018 HSNCT and 8th at the 2018 NSC.

He was named the 2018 HSQBrank Player of the Year.

While playing with Wright State (where he was dual-enrolled), Hari and teammates NourEddine Hijazi and Aaron Jensen beat a full MSU team and Toronto J twice at 2019 Terrapin.

Alongside Abby Cohen, Tiffany Zhou, and Tegan Kapadia, Hari was on the winning Beavercreek team at the 2019 HSNCT, which was the first team from Ohio to accomplish the feat. This team went on to place 7th at the NSC; this is the highest that any HSNCT winner has placed at NSC since LASA unified the titles in 2014.

Hari finished 2nd at the 2019 IPNCT.

College

Hari drew some community ire for playing at and winning the Georgia Tech mirror of 2019 ACF Fall - however, this was not unusual and the tournament remained close due to the many competitive teams.

Hari, Sarah Mueller, Tejas Santanam, and S.A. Shenoy placed 15th at the 2021 ICT, where they won a close game against eventual 2nd place team Illinois.

Hari led a team that tied for 6th and took the Undergraduate title at 2022 ICT; a week later, he was second scorer on a Matt Bollinger-led team that won ACF Nationals.

The 2021 college tournament HARI, for which Hari wrote and edited, may or may not be named for him.
