Jason Thompson has been a member of NAQT since 2019. Since 2013 he has contributed to NAQT as a "question writer, audiovisual expert, and head editor (e.g. of the 2019 HSNCT). Jason is a former coach of the academic team at Samuel V. Noe Middle School in Louisville, Kentucky, and he has been a player at Lullitt Lick Middle School, Bullitt Central High School, and Transylvania University.
