He graduated from Truman State's MAE Program in 2011, where he got his Masters in Science Education. Playing Career

After spending two years listening to his teammates tell him that ACF was too impossible, he rounded up a team to attend ACF Fall in 2007. So, although the Truman State program is in not new, its exposure to good quiz bowl is a relatively new occurrence. After a year of practicing on ACF questions, TSU A placed 7th at NAQT ICT. Despite signing up to play Chicago Open 2007, his first exposure to elite-level quiz bowl did not come until ACF Nationals 2009...where he quickly realized just how much he had to learn. His Truman State team won only one game during the prelims. He played with Mike Cheyne, Carsten Gehring, and Frank Firke at Chicago Open 2009, winning two games, including one against the Gentlemen of Sangala (Ray/Lafer/Tabachnick/Jose) in which a frauded Donald Duck bonus decided the game.
