I don't see the need to remove the fact that he was on a HSNCT winning team and add that he scored less than a particular player on a particular team. It strikes me as a bit petty, especially since he left QB 3 years ago.)

Luke Tierney was a Chicago player who previously played for Hunter, and was on the team that won the 2016 and 2017 HSNCTs. He is greatly disliked in the quizbowl community and has been ostracized for his far-right political opinions, for wearing a Rhodesia t-shirt to a tournament,[1], and for disparaging behavior towards female teammates,[2] among other things; he is greatly disliked outside the quizbowl community as well. He is the son of journalist and climate change denier John Tierney.[3]

He was named a member of the Second Team for the 2016 HSQBRank All-World Teams and of the first team for the 2017 teams. In college, he was on the Chicago C team which won 2018 ICT DII.
