"m" (pronounced "mmm" or "em") is a phrase that is frequently used in the high-school quizbowl Discord community to express a sense of affirmation. It is often used in conversations in place of words like "yes" and "true."
Some regional quizbowl Discord servers contain text channels titled #m, which consist solely of strings of people posting the letter "m" in a cult-like fashion.
