The McKenzie-style easy part, developed by Kelly McKenzie, is the product of a school of question writing which advocates using multiple clues, including something obscure, alongside the obvious clue in the easiest part of a bonus. The stated rationale for this practice is to keep the easy part interesting and educational even though almost all teams will know it. Contrast with Yaphe-style easy part.
