Mythology is a minor category of quizbowl questions that asks about myths, legends, and folklore. Most mythology questions typically focus on Greco-Roman mythology, though Norse, Egyptian, Celtic, Mesopotamian, Japanese, and Mesoamerican myth systems also get major air time and other myth systems (Polynesian, various African systems, Slavic folklore, Chinese, native American, etc.) are also asked about from time to time.

ACF and most tournaments consider mythology to be a separate category or lump it in under RMP. Until the 2014-15 season, NAQT grouped mythology in as a subcategory of literature, but it is now in its own category comprising about 3% of the distribution.

Notable mythology specialists include Seth Teitler and Matt Bollinger.
