Perhaps his best overall individual performance came when he placed seventh in JV at the 2019 [[US History Bee]], which marked his first finals appearance in a major nationals event.

At the 2019 San Diego NHBB tournament, he beat [[Amogh Kulkarni]] by just one point to claim his fifth consecutive bee regional title.
