Thomas Metcalf Laboratory School is a private middle school in Normal, Illinois on the campus of Illinois State University. For over 20 years, Metcalf is among the most successful middle school quiz bowl programs in Bloomington-Normal & Illinois with the team making 14 trips to the IESA State tournament since 1999 competing in Class A.
Metcalf has claimed various records over the years including - first 3-time, 4-time, 5-time state champions. In 2019, Daniel Wright eclipsed Metcalf for the record for most state titles in either class when it earned its 6th.
