Northern Illinois University is the home of the Quiz Bowl Association and the Huskie Bowl and ATROPHY Tournaments. The club typically has low membership, and exists almost solely to run tournaments. Brad Fischer and Kristin Strey are noted members.

The school has hosted other tournaments, including a High School-Only Mirror of ACF Fall in 2012 when the IHSA determined that Illinois high school teams are not allowed to play college teams. The tournament attracted eight teams and was won by Detroit Catholic Central.
