In 2018, NAQT revived the NAQT Asian Championship, with the 2018 edition hosted in Singapore, the 2019 division hosted in China, and the 2020 and 2021 tournament hosted in Seoul.

UKQB announced a short-lived partnership with Chinese education organization ASDAN in 2020. What became of it is unknown.

In 2021, NAQT partnered with SKT education group to host the NAQT China Championships. The 2021 Finals were held in Nanjing, and the 2022 division was held online. Although the programme has been criticized for its use of multiple-choice questions in the 2022 Preliminary Tournament and for its exorbitant pricing, it has succeeded in attracting a decently sized player base of over 100 teams as of 2022.
