ReKT

ReKT (acronym for "Real Knowledge Tournament") is a high school quizbowl tournament held in Southern California since 2018. It is hosted and run by Westview, in San Diego. The tournament is also open to middle school teams.
Rohan Venkateswaran and Kevin Yu co-directed the inaugural ReKT tournament, which was held on 17 March 2018; Venkateswaran also went on to direct ReKT II (30 March 2019) the next year.
The 2020 edition, ReKT III, was originally slated to be held on March 28, 2020, but was postponed due to the closure of Westview HS as a result of COVID-19. The streak of catastrophes plaguing the tournament continued into the following season, when ReKT IV was won by Kinkaid of Houston, Texas.
