The Scholastic Bowl Company of Virginia (SBCofVa) is merely the corporate entity under which Shawn Pickrell writes questions for VHSL and MSHSAA competitions. The corporate entity allows writers to be paid in the form of dividends.
Pickrell and SBCofVa can be considered synonymous.
