Scott Smith is a theologian, author, and attorney. He played quizbowl for Edmond Memorial High School, Texas A&M and Louisiana State. While at Texas A&M, Smith was the captain of the team which won the Division II title at ACF Nationals in 2002, and represented the university on the game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

While a law student at Louisiana State, Smith was the coach at Catholic Pointe of Coupee. After graduating, he served as an Assistant Attorney General for the state of Louisiana from 2015 to 2019. In addition to his work as an attorney, he has published over a dozen literary works, primarily focusing on religion and theology, though notably including two works of fiction.
