Selene Koo was a quizbowl player for the University of Chicago. Selene played for many years while enrolled in an MD/PhD program and working on her doctorate in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, playing on six title-winning teams. This ties her with Adam Kemezis for the second most national titles in quizbowl history. She also played with Berkeley from 1998-2002.

Selene played on a Chicago A team that took 1st place at the 2007 ICT with Peter Austin, Seth Samelson and Seth Teitler.

Selene played on a Chicago A team that took 1st place at the 2007 ACF Nationals with Peter Austin, Susan Ferrari and Seth Teitler.

Selene played on a Chicago A team that took 1st place at the 2008 ACF Nationals with Susan Ferrari and Seth Teitler.

Selene played on a Chicago A team that took 1st place at the 2009 ICT with Shantanu Jha, David Seal and Seth Teitler.

Selene played on a Chicago A team that took 1st place at the 2009 ACF Nationals with Shantanu Jha, Michael Arnold, and Seth Teitler.

Selene played on a Chicago A team that took 1st place at the 2010 ICT with Michael Arnold, Marshall Steinbaum and Seth Teitler.

After many years of being Chicago's second scorer, Selene was (by far) the highest scorer on Seth-less Chicago teams that finished 3rd at the 2011 ICT and somewhere in the 2011 ACF Nationals championship bracket (stats missing).

Tournament editing and writing

Selene helped edit the 2005 ACF Fall set, and helped write the John Stuart Mill Open and the 2006 EFT set.
