Sumedh Deoras

Sumedh Deoras is a junior majoring in biology at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. His strengths include biology, chemistry, trash, politics, Hindu, and certain areas of literature and history. Affectionately dubbed "Captain Deoras" by Jake Sundberg, he attends every tournament that he possibly can. The 2008 SCT will mark the first time he has competed in DI Sectionals. He was the second-leading scorer at the 2006 DII Southwest SCT and the third-leading scorer at Old Cajun Grandma Invitational II. Due to the unfortunate inactiveness of Scott Broussard, Sumedh has become the team's second scoring option. He missed the 2006-2007 season but since coming back, he has performed admirably.
