The Experiment

The Experiment was the name for a tournament that Ryan Westbrook wrote two times. Experiment I was run alongside the fall 2007 Illinois Open and Experiment II was run with the spring 2009 edition of FICHTE. Both tournaments were tossup-only events that featured very difficult tossups and a superpower/power structure. This tournament is believed to have introduced the superpower concept and the idea of a vanity event at a post-CO difficulty level to quizbowl.
