Emily Gunter is a high school player for Salem High School in Salem, Virginia and has been playing since 2017. She will graduate from Salem in 2021.

Gunter has served as the Captain of her team since the 2018 season. Her team competes in the River Ridge District and Region 4A with the VHSL. She was consistently been the lead scorer for her team until the 2020 season when she decided to step back from playing. She specializes in science and China and is committed to outreach.
