Vishwa Shanmugam played for Downingtown STEM, where he became a regional powerhouse and a national all-star within a year. He captained Downingtown STEM to an eighth place finish at the 2018 HSNCT, where he was the overall 22nd scorer with 71.61 ppg. The same year, he led his team to an 18th place finish at the 2018 NSC, where he was the 6th place overall scorer with 112.78 ppg and the second most powers. Vishwa was also the 7th overall scorer at the 2018 NASAT playing for Pennsylvania Blue, which placed 5th. Vishwa was named a member of the Second Team for the 2018 HSQBRank All-World Teams.
Vishwa currently plays for University of Maryland's DII team.
Vishwa is famous for his generosity in the distributing of Black Forest Organic Gummy Bears™.
