West Springfield High School is located in Springfield in northern Virginia and is coached by Stephanie Shimp. Lake Braddock does not participate in the invitational circuit but is active in both VHSL and It's Academic.
In VHSL, West Springfield was part of the VHSL Northern Region until the 2014 VHSL Realignment. Between then and the 2018 VHSL Realignment, the school was part of VHSL Region 6A North. Starting with the 2017-18 season, West Springfield will be part of VHSL Class 6 Region C.
West Springfield won the Conference 7 tournament in 2017.
