Yorktown High School is located in Arlington in northern Virginia and is coached by Charles Obetts. Chantilly does not participate in the invitational circuit but is active in both VHSL and Questions Unlimited.
In VHSL, Yorktown was part of the VHSL Northern Region until the 2014 VHSL Realignment. Between then and the 2018 VHSL Realignment, the school was part of VHSL Region 6A North. Starting with the 2017-18 season, Yorktown will be part of VHSL Class 6 Region D.
Yorktown was runner-up at the 2014 Conference 6 tournament. Yorktown definitely attended QU's National Academic Championship in 2012 and 2015. It is unknown whether the "Yorktown" mentioned at other NACs is this Yorktown or the school in New York or Indiana.
