Re: I am *never* watching Jeopardy! agai

While I don't agree with the above subject
heading, I think the problem with "Junior J!" isn't WHO is
on it...but WHEN it's on.

 "Gimmick" episodes
like Junior J! (as well as Celebrity Weeks and the
various TOC tournaments) should be on during "sweeps"
months, when the program's ad rates are determined. Why
is the $100,000 TOC on every February? Sweeps. Why
was there a celebrity game every week during the
month of May? Sweeps.

 What surprised me is that
while J! advertises its TOC, celebrity matches, etc.,
on its shows, it did very little to promote Junior
J! (which, BTW, was the offshoot of its infamous
"Family Week" proposal, which was scrapped reportedly
because they couldn't find decent parent players). They
just seemed to throw it on the air without a hint of
"warning."

(i.e. - when Johnny Gilbert announces
"This Is Jeopardy!" - there was no hint this was a
special edition of J!)

 Just my .03
