Well, as an evangelical Christian I am usually
not that offended by qb. Yes, there are people who
consider it anti-intellectual to be religious of any form,
but that is certainly not limited to quiz bowl. As
for tournament days, it doesn't matter to me, because
attendence in church in my opinion does not indicate an
individual's spiritual health in any way shape or form.
As
for question content, well occaisionally i am a
little disgusted with porn questions etc I accept them
as part of the game just as a people with problems
with my religion sit through William Booth, bible, or
any other related questions. I live in the real
world, i don't expect to be embraced for my faith, and
the circuit is really no more problematic than
attending any public university.
