Re: Quiz Bowl Upsets

(Self-aggrandizement warning) The biggest
tournament (rather than game) upset I know about--if you
count trash--was at the 1994 Trashmasters, where a team
of 4 Pitt undergrads beat off several big times
masters teams (fortunately we were too young and stupid
to know who people like Charlie Steinhice, Ben Lea,
and Scott Gillespie were) to win in spite of having a
1000 negative total point differential compared to the
other two top teams. I'm still not sure how we did it;
my only regret is that the toilet seat got lost at
some point. :(
