Yale Student Academic Competitions is pleased to announce that it will be hosting Bulldogs Over Broadway 2002: Time to Drop the Samer on December 7, 2002 in beautiful New Haven, CT. This will be a packet submission tournament with a modified ACF distribution. All rounds will be untimed and consist of 20 tossups and their associated bonuses. All collegiate teams will be eligible to compete.

The packet distribution guidelines are as follows:

Please keep the following in mind while writing your questions:
-Diversify within categories (No writing all your history questions on the Civil War, or even American history in general...)
-All boni should be worth 30 points.
-No one-part or all-or-nothing boni (30-20-10 and list boni are fine...in moderation)
-No hopelessly obscure questions.
-No spelling or FAQTP tossups.
-Toss-ups should not exceed 6 lines, Boni 15 of Times New Roman 12 Point Font
-Creativity is strongly encouraged.

Packets should be submitted (ideally) in a Rich Text Format document to our packet editor, Nate Meyvis <nathan.meyvis_at_...>, with all questions separated by category for his convenience. The packet submission deadlines are as follows:

Early Packet Deadline (-$20): November 8, 2002
Slightly Less Early Packet Deadline (-$10): November 15, 2002
Regular Packet Deadline (i.e. the No Fee Packet Deadline): November 22, 2002.
Overdue Packets: We will continue to accept packets until November 30th with a $5/day fee for each day beyond the no fee deadline that it is late. In other words, if you decide to turn it on the final deadline (November 30th), you will owe an additional $40. This is to ensure that packets are received in a timely fashion and that the questions may be properly edited and playtested.

In addition to the payments outlined above, the tournament fee structure as a whole is as follows:

Base entry fee $100
Multiple team discount (i.e. for each team beyond the first from a given school) -$15
Buzzer discount -$10
