Re: Ethical dilemma

In terms of finding an appropriate tournament to mirror for a
fraternity/sorority event I would suggest the following:

Without stepping on anyone's toes - I recently heard questions that
are going to be read or have recently been read for a tournament
being hosted by Valencia Community College in Florida. I thought
those questions for the most part sounded great and the level of
difficulty is sound. They may be worth contacting.

Try a high school tournament - there are probably high school
tournaments that are also recently played on that could be sitting on
a TD's hard drive. Doubtless you could arrange some sort of exchange
for packets/cash.

There's always an NAQT Intramural set. I'd say NAQT IM sets would
provide a proper mix of pop culture and academia appropriate to what
it sounds like you're trying to do at Tulane. That would mean a
somewhat sizeable initial outlay on your part nevertheless.

I think you should be acknowledged for stepping up and asking before
doing - that's definitely noble. If you were not aware there are some
who have pillaged the Stanford Archive and charged money for reading
those questions to unsuspecting high school students who have in some
form paid to travel to a tournament. That's why red flags go up
whenever anyone mentions the archive.
