2003 ACF Regionals: Basic Question Guidelines

Who is required to submit a packet?

All A teams of schools who attended 2002 ACF Regionals. Note that
these are the only schools required to submit a packet for the
tournament and who will be exempted from playing if they do not
submit a packet. Subsequent teams from the same schools and schools
who did not play in this past year's regionals may submit packets for
the corresponding discount but will not be required to do so.

I will post a detailed schedule of packet discount and penalty
deadlines within the week, but keep this in mind - regardless of the
date (Feb. 15th or March 1st) packets will not be accepted within 10
days of the tournament, no exceptions. If you think this is will be
a problem, then contact me no later than three weeks before the
tournament, and we might be able to work something out (I will post
periodic reminders about this).

Teams will be required to submit a packet of 30 tossups and 30
bonuses following the distribution guidelines listed in John
Sheahan's writing supplement (I would encourage inexperienced teams
to read this thoroughly) at

http://www.dpo.uab.edu/~paik/acf/writers.html

There is one addendum - teams may choose to submit 1 tossup and 1
bonus on popular culture (including sports, movies, tv,
fantasy/scifi, games, food, etc.) if they choose.

I will post some additional formatting information and possibly a
guide for teams who might need some help with question writing within
the next week as well.

In the meantime, if you have any questions please contact me at
