Brief Results: SNEWT VII

On November 16th, Swarthmore College held SNEWT VII, its annual
juniorbird. Sixteen teams competed in two round robin divisions
followed by three rounds of bracketed playoffs. Playoff records were
determined by matches played in playoffs plus prelin matches against
teams in the same playoff bracket. Carnegie Mellon was the undisputed
champion, giong undefeated in the tournament. Maryland was a close
second, losing only to CMU. Case Western and Swarthmore A both had 2-3
playoff records, but Case Western won third by defeating Swat in the
final playoff round. The top bracket was rounded out by Virginia and
Swarthmore B. The second bracket was one by Johns Hopkins A, who
defeated Penn, the other 4-1 team; and the final bracket was won by
Bryn Mawr with a 3-1 playoff record.

Individual stats were calculated for the prelims only. The top scorer
was Elliot of CMU with 74.29 ppg. Louis from Case Western was second
